Big Agnes – Staying Dry
When we are expecting rain, we go ahead and set up the Big Agnes Three Forks Shelter to cover the back end of the trailer.
This shelter has helped us through many a wet trip and can be used in a variety of ways (see more about our various rain setups here).
We have two sidewalls for Big Agnes and find that it’s usually enough just to use the back one. The setup above is great for moving the chairs under, sitting under to weather out the storm and cook or eat, or just to make sure you have a dry-ish spot in camp.
This shelter has proven more resilient and easier to setup than any we’ve had before. The metal poles have bent a little, but that actually makes it fit the curve of the galley door well.
